Vampires!

Vampires are pretty hot right now (thanks, Captain Obvious!). I'm going to see "Let the RIght One In" tonight at the Riverview Theater with my friend Noah, who will honestly go see any movie, at any time of day, for any reason. He went and saw a movie that involved blind people raping each other by himself, on a warm gorgeous fall afternoon, in the middle of a weekday. He claims to still be scarred. I wonder what Anne Rice thinks of all this vampire hoopla? She probably can't hear any of it through her mansion insulated with hundred dollar bills, but if she could, I'd bet she'd be cackling. I haven't read any of the Twilight books, though I have to admit it's the greatest marketing feat since Harry Potter. Although it's sad seeing such a beautiful word like "twilight" become a pop culture buzzword.

It's always the beautiful and delicate that suffer, isn't it?

Anyways. I usually prefer zombies, myself.

What do we want?
Brains!
When do we want them?
Brains!

oh you're talking about that movie called Blindness. That was really good...lol, I wouldn't have thought to describe it the way you have though. The author of the novel, upon which the movie was based, José Saramago, who is Portuguese, won the Noble prize in '98. He has another good novel called The Stone Raft in which the iberian peninsula breaks off and drifts out into the Atlantic.

I saw Let the Right One In today, I like it, thanks for bring it to my attention.
