Okay. I used to be like you. Okay, maybe not like you, but like a less cool version of you with a lot of free time. And I liked football, a lot, but I refused to play fantasy football. That was the stuff of nerds. People who loved math, and shit like that.
Well, I come to you now a broken man.
I started playing last year, thanks to an invite from Missy, and I placed 8th in an 8 team league (that's right, even Missy beat me). I sucked, but it was glorious. Games and players you'd never normally give a crap about suddenly decided whether you lived or died. Their performance each week determined how well your fantasy team did. Reality coupled with a game that absolutely meant nothing except bragging rights? Blogagaard gold.
This year I started a league while continuing to play in last year's league. I want to play in a league with my friends from back home while crushing those who made fun of my old team, We Will Smack You. Every yard, every touchdown, every fifty yard field goal counts. Numbers devour me.
God, I love football.

I'm pretty sure fantasy football was made especially for you David. Just try not to break anything watching the games today.
Go Vikings Defense!
Um, I had a premonition about the vikes d today. not so good, not so bad, but I didn't start'em.
Well, I was wrong again.
I still am not exactly sure what the heck is going on, but I enjoy the fantasy managing. Sorry I missed the trade opportunity this Saturday.
I have played fantasy football for seventeen years now, and my team still got whacked this week. By a rookie. Oh the shame.
There is nothing better than football!
