Blogagaard Finds Cool Used Bookstore

Ah, I can breathe freely again, safe in the knowledge that Boise has a stellar used bookstore downtown. It is called Taylor Trip Bookseller, and it has everything I look for in a bookstore:

A)Supreme fiction and philosophy sections.
B)Old editions mixed in with new, all reasonably priced.
C)Resident friendly pet. In this case, a giant white French poodle that greats you calmly as soon as you step inside. My first pet was a giant white French poodle named Prancer. Awesome dog.
D)Upstairs section that looks down on 1st floor. Is this called a loft level? My hardware store in L.C. had a second level like this.
E)Guy named Trip.

Trip is located two storefronts down from a fantastic cigar shop and a block away from a block-sized hipster record/CD store. I hereby call this area Dave Alley.

Also, I'm scouting for the best Monte Cristo sandwich in town. For Blogagaard, this is the holy Grail of sandwiches.

Ran across your blog recently, just wanted to say welcome to Boise. We need more writer bloggers here, especially sci-fi writers.

Amen on the Monte Christo; I still can't believe they are allowed to serve a sandwich that good without some kind of Surgeon General's warning.

Oh yeah, and the entire time you're eating a Cristo you're like, man this can't be good for me at all, but you just don't care.

I cannot wait to visit Dave Alley. Cigars, used books, and used records. Throw in a night out at the punk/goth clubs and you have a typical vacation with Todd and Missy!

PS: We never seem to learn that buying books on vacation means a heavier bag returning to Minneapolis...I suppose vacation is the only time we get to book hunt together.

Excellent! Also, a fancy fondue restaurant!

To quote Kitty Foreman: "The should call it fun-due!"
