Sea otters are pretty fucking cute. You with me, people? I mean, C'MON! Them sum cute suns a bitches.
Did you know that as the sun descends sea otters, who live in kelp forests off the coasts of California and Alaska, gather into groups called 'rafts' and lay a strand of kelp across their bellies? They do this so the kelp can act as a tether and keep them from drifting out to sea at night while they sleep! Yes sir, they buckle up with some kelp, recline on their furry little backs, and let the ocean rock them to sleep.
We here at Blogagaard think that's the life for us, at least when we're reincarnated. Meanwhile, tomorrow is the last day of our temp job scoring standardized tests (all in all it's been a good experience, and surprisingly lucrative by our meager standards). And after the day is done, gone the sun, we'll be seeing the esteemed author Michael Chabon read at the Talking Volumes series at the Fitzgerald theater in St. Paul. More on that to follow!
Now, time to go eat one last clam and find a durable strand of kelp...

I thought you WERE a sea otter!
Boy is my face red.
He is! He is!
Every summer Blogagaard must trek to the ocean to reconnect with the Sea Otters. They all float on their backs and open up clams in celebration of the return Bloggy!
Glub glub. Glub.
