First, the good news: my friend Geoff Herbach and fellow Hamline grad signed a book deal this week with a Random House imprint! Yes, it does happen to real people who toil for half their crazy ass lives! And no, I'm not making this up! Rave on, Brave Captain, rave on.
The bad news: Anna Nicole Smith has died, sending a tidal wave of grief through the world the likes we haven't seen since Sept 11th, 2001. Oh, Anna! Too young, too soon! How will we carry on? Who will we hold to the lowest mental common denominator? Who will marry our ultra-rich octogenarians and then battle their pissed off children in court?
But that's life, I guess. You take the good with the bad. The Led Zepplin with the Little River Band. The Twins with the Yankees.
Well, you get my point.
Oh, Anna.
