This time I dreamt that the world ended through some sort of airborne virus/insanity/chemical weapon. People jumped in cars and started speeding along America's interstates with reckless abandon, and a group of soulless beings arose who wore black and drove even faster with the sole intent of causing huge crashes and taking out as many people as possible. I wasn't a character in the dream until the very end, and in fact the entire dream came to me through the lens of a mostly voiceless narrator showing me several different scenes of destruction and the small human dramas played out in each. There was a girl in a kayack, trying to get away from the devestation but getting crushed by a tree instead? She woke up in a hospital bed and the narrator's voice suddenly spoke up, saying, "She knew she could live and recover from her injuries, but instead she looked around at the state of the world and chose to go away instead." The dream ended with me driving into the Western desert alone, after my best friend left me to join a bus full of sexy people who refused to wear chemical masks despite my warnings. I remember thinking, in the dream, that Stephen King must have been getting a kick out this scene.
But it's so sunny this morning. And the Jamaican guy below me is blaring Mariah Carey. That's got to count for something, right?

Maybe this dream means I eat too much cottage cheese.
Mmmm....
Mmmm...cottage cheese and triscuits.
Was the neighbor hitting the high notes with Mariah?
thank god, no. I sort of want to hit him, though.
that's not very gandhi of me, is it?
Go ahead. Kick his ass! Open a six-pack of Gandhi whooop ass on that freaky Mariah-loving guy!
I beseech you!
Mariah is a sign that the world isn't ending?
Thanks, Gandhi! Will do!
Michelle, you're right, as always. You are my becon of Truth in an shaky world.
thank you for spelling my name right (even though you did not use the capital 'G'); however with most people calling me ghandi - it is a refreshing change.
my other advice is that you gift him all the Mariah CDs you can find.
