The End

Tonight we here at Blogagaard encountered a human being named Oppegaard. We shook hands and our internal reality collapsed. Thus, we can blog no more.

Thank you for your support, dear sparrows:

Alex, Clurg, Viney, Kelly, Jaime, Captain Geoff, Steph, Pale Poet, Dan, Troy, Miguel Sanchez, Becca, that one guy from Chicago, Michelle, Voix de Michele, Stevie Steve Steve, Jay-Z, Meagan, Shorty, Noah J. Warren, Shannon, Little Rivers, Moncrief, Lucas, Apparition Jones, the Inspektor, Rand, Morse Code, Matt Belcher, Alexandra, David Sedaris, Alexa, Erika, and anyone else who ever came across this blog, for good or for evil, and read what was written here.

Also, I'll be reading at the Soap Factory on July 7th at 8 PM in Minneapolis:

Good luck out there. Don't take any wooden nickels, and watch out for ferrets.

Surely you jest.

Ah darn it all anyway. Everybody's going away. However much I like the idea of one's internal reality collapsing, I still mourn.

See you in the funny papers. Perhaps you will experience some sort of personality disintegration and blog again someday.

(can I say: His name isn't Shirley? It doesn't work as well in type, does it? Should it be Surely?)

Thanks, Bloggy. Don't kill the blog - if you kill it poachers will stake a claim to your url. Just leave it be for a while. At least keep it going so that you can post when you are reading, when your book gets published, when you need extras for your movie, etc.

As your informal marketing and publicity guru, let me tell you that you don't want to lose this piece of the cyber landscape.

okay, Rand, will do.

This is sort of like being at your own funeral....

And thank you, SD. I always liked that phrase, "See you in the funny papaer." Makes everything sound like it'll turn out A-okay.

Rand said...

No no no. No funeral. Even crazy startup companies must move from the garage into an office eventually.

Just another step on the journey.

But for goodness sake DON'T lose the free publicity and communications you can get from the blog site. Today's posting of your reading on the 7th is the kind of thing you should continue to do as things come up.

Sorry to hear it, Dave. I really enjoyed keeping up with you electronically. Ah, well. We'll always have Sedaris.

My very best to you!

Dan

P.S. Take a break and spread your wings a bit. But do at least consider returning someday, in the fall, perhaps...like the swans of cappucino. Hm, wait. That doesn't sound quite right.. ;-)

Am I that behind the times that I start blogging just to see you and Kelly quit? It hardly seems fair.

But I truly believe in letting people say goodbye when they want to. May your newly reunited internal reality spur you to ever greater writing in book form!

I haven't quit yet. I'm just very, very slow.

Shall we have a wake for the Blogagaard persona?

And another one down, and another one down.

I agree with Reverand Hargrave on this one. If you are blogged out, so be it. I'll miss reading it though. You'll just have to comment on my blog more often, I guess. :)

I miss you already, bloggie.

I'll keep this baby up. Maybe this is just a haitus. I don't know. But until the cobalt legacy is perfect, no more messing around. I do that too much in my real life. In the meantime I'll try to keep everyone updated on The Hardworking Man from Nebraska.

Has taken such a long time to die.

It's so nice out too, go waste your time in the sunshine instead of at the computer.

Best of luck to you, Dave. I will not be able to make the TIC reading as I will be at a concert, but I hope it goes well for you & the others!
